Jarod Anderson is a little different to the usual Young Landscaper of the Year entrant as he’s the only competitor to run his own business.
Anderson Landscapes has been operating for three years, and Jarod says he’s going into the competition with an open mind and with more than just victory on his agenda!
“Beyond gaining industry knowledge, I trust this completion will be a fantastic avenue for networking regionally with Christchurch participants, but also nationally with suppliers, supporters and leading industry personalities, enabling me to both soak up valuable industry insights but also help further the growing reputation of professional landscaping in New Zealand.”
Jarod started his career in the trades working in construction, where he spent over a decade in residential building work before he gravitated towards landscaping.
His business works on all aspects of landscaping work, from decks and pools to design, maintenance and plant installation.
As an owner/operator, Jarod is responsible for all aspects of the job. It’s a responsibility he doesn’t take lightly.
“We are a boutique landscape design and build firm passionate about realising the potential of various outdoor spaces.
“I greatly value the personal aspect of undertaking projects in our line of work and therefore strive to maintain clear and pleasing lines of communication and client involvement through-out the entire process.
“Our owner/operator model gives me an advantage as I personally make sure our projects exceed expectations via exceptional standards of work and my strong supplier relations.”
